Can Clarityn Rapide Allergy Melt in The Mouth Tablets be taken for more than just hay fever?
These tablets can be used to ease other allergic symptoms as well as just hayfever. Some of the other conditions and symptoms this product can be used for include:
- Allergic conjunctivitis (red itchy eyes)
- Red, itchy skin
- Hives Rash
- Insect Bites
- Some food allergies

Will taking Clarityn Rapide Tablets interfere with other medication?
You may experience increased side effects of Clarityn Rapide when you take these tablets with medicines that alter the performance of some enzymes responsible for drug-metabolism in the liver. If you take one of these medications or take another medication and are not sure whether you can take the two together, speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this product.
How often should I take these Melt in The Mouth Tablets?
Take 1 Clarityn Rapide tablet every day. Place the tablet into your mouth and it will dissolve in your mouth with a delicious minty flavour so you can swallow it. You do not need to take these tablets with a sip of water or a cold drink, but you can if you want to. You can also take these tablets with food if you would like to.
When should this product not be used?
Clarityn Rapide is not suitable for use by children under the age of 2, or children aged between 2 – 12 who weigh less than 30kg or 4st 7lbs. Do not take this product if you are allergic to loratadine or any of the other listed ingredients.
Are there any potential side effects when taking Clarityn Rapide Allergy Melt In The Mouth Tablets?
Like all medicines, Clarityn Rapide can have side effects, although not everybody will get them. Call your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following symptoms of a severe allergic reaction:
- Skin rash that includes blistered, swollen, or peeling skin
- Wheezing
- Tightness in the throat or chest
- Swelling of the mouth, lips, tongue, or throat
Other common side effects you may experience when taking these tablets include:
- Drowsiness
- Headache
- Increased appetite
- Difficulty sleeping
- Nervousness or tiredness in children under 12
