Sudafed Plus is a nasal spray including the medicines xylometazoline hydrochloride and dexpanthenol. This nasal spray is used to clear a blocked nose and sinuses in adults and children aged over 12 years, helping to relieve congestion caused by sinusitis, colds and allergies such as hay fever.

How Sudafed Plus Nasal Spray works

The active ingredients in Sudafed Plus contain xylometazoline hydrochloride, which is a topical decongestant that relieves nasal and sinus congestion, and dexpanthenol which is a derivative of the vitamin pantothenic acid, which promotes healing and protects the mucous membrane (lining) of the nose.

Directions

Always take this medicine exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Adults and children over 12 years should administer one spray into each nostril up to 3 times a day as necessary. Do not exceed more than 3 doses in 24 hours.

To use this nasal spray, remove the protective cap from the sprayer and press the spray head 5 times, away from the face, until a fine spray appears. Insert the sprayer tip into one nostril in an upright position and gently inhale through the nose while spraying.
